Office vacancy.. applicants for the club secretary are now being invited to apply. Please submit your cv by Fri 19th April
Must be computer literate and have a sound understanding of electronic file management.
Experience of Microsoft 365 applications including Word, Excel and Outlook. (PowerPoint would be an advantage)
A working knowledge of Sage 50 Payroll and Sage 50 Accounts however limited training will be given.
The Secretary works under the supervision of the management committee
Minimum of 12 hours per week, (currently under review) paid monthly, normally on Monday, Tuesday and Friday.
The Secretary is responsible for undertaking all the administrative requirements of the club, including not limited to maintaining and updating the membership and waiting list databases, paying suppliers invoices and managing function hall hire bookings.
Knowledge of HMRC ensuring payments are made on time, and all legislation is kept up to date.
Prepare all necessary documentation for committee and general meetings, and to be responsible for producing the minutes of the proceedings and published accordingly.
Obtaining quotes from companies for contracts, ie: Gas, electricity, club insurances etc.
The Secretary must also be capable of assisting the Assistant Secretary and The Treasurer in the event of holidays and sickness.
The applicant MUST have experience in working in a small but busy environment, working to tight timescales. Previous experience in administration and supervision would be an advantage.

WE NEED YOU!
As a private members club we need the membership to support us throughout the year. Times are still tough so we need you.
Please use the your club
Come along and enjoy a drink and maybe a meal with family or friends in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Children are more than welcome but encouraged not to run around the bar area. Children will not be served at the bar for anything.
Please leave prams and push chairs in the entrance lobby.
If live sport is on terrestrial TV or BT Sports, just ask a member of staff who will happily turn on the TV's in the bar. (volume maybe lowered)
Can also be viewed on the large screen in the main hall if not booked for a function.
There is a dart board* and a snooker table**
NOTE.
*Thursday evenings is League Darts.
**Snooker is free for members and their guests. Give your membership card to a member of staff who will provide you the key to the snooker room.
To be fair to other members we say frames should last no longer than 30 minutes when we ask you to pop down and check the board to make sure no-one is waiting, if not continue for another frame.
IMPORTANT. You cannot write all players on the board and play multiple games. 1 game per group unless the above applies.
Hall Hire
Available for hire to Members and non-members. Call the office for details and availability.
